The Ambient Weather WR-111 Emergency Solar Hand Crank AM/FM/NOAA Digital Tuning Radio unit itself is very straightforward and simple to understand and use. If it has a weakness, it would be the batteries - even at our advanced stage of civilization, batteries are one of the weak spots in our technological progress.

This a great purchase, get two so put one in emergency supplies and have one in upstairs - works very good and easy to set up. Sound quality is very clear, interface cables and connectors work well with most cell phones. the digital tuning is an excellent design, it allows you to tune to the exact frequency. (very important in an emergency situation), most of the other emergency radios use a mechanical tuning which is less than adequate.

This Ambient Weather WR-111 product was as expected. Lightweight with a lot of functions. This product was recommended by the Red Cross for emergencies and I'm glad I purchased (2) of them. These will make an addition to our car kit and home kit. We have table top weather radio's but wanted one for the car and a handheld for home that also has AM/FM as well as NOAA.

Ideal as an everyday radio, MP3/MP4 USB dock and an essential part of any preparedness kit. Always ready to provide vital information and illumination in any emergency.  Rubberized finish makes the ADVENTURER comfortable to grip.  Was able to charge my iPhone 4 with the included adapters. Flashlight was nice and bright.
